Machine Gun Kelly 攜手 Blink-182 鼓手 Travis Barker 重新演繹 Rage Against The Machine 1992年所釋出的經典神作《Killing In The Name》。

《Killing In The Name》這首歌來自於 1992年由 討伐體制樂團 (Rage Against the Machine)的首張同名專輯 < Rage Against the Machine > ，而這張專輯中基於硬搖滾、Grunge、Hip－Hop和Rap的融合曲風現已形成一股勢不可擋的潮流，影響了眾多新進樂隊和樂手 Limp Bizkit 和 Kid Rock 等人。儘管如此，Rage Against The Machine 所特有的音樂整體感和政治激進主義始終在樂壇獨樹一幟。

來自於美國加州的說唱金屬樂團 討伐體制 (Rage Against The Machine AKA RATM)，創立於1991年，由主唱Zack de la Rocha、貝斯手兼人聲 Tim Commerford、吉他手Tom Morello、鼓手Brad Wilk組成，歌曲表達革命性的政治主張，並成功融合饒舌與重金屬，對90年代中期後的新金屬（Nu metal）有巨大影響。

Rage Against The Machine 的代表歌曲《Killing in the Name》 可以概括樂隊的特立獨行態度，密集重複的歌詞儼如口號，內容指控白人至上主義和警察濫用暴力。這首歌曲推出六個月前，發生了震撼全美國的92年洛杉磯暴動 。起因是四名警察涉嫌毆打黑人Rodney King ，並且不作即時拘捕。由於有附近居民拍下整個過程，事件受媒體廣泛報導，而引起公眾關注。陪審團後來裁定四名警官無罪，大量對非裔及拉美裔市民不滿結果，並開始大規模犯罪、縱火和襲擊，造成洛杉磯宣佈宵禁及軍隊鎮壓，傷亡者數以千計。事後，RATM仍無懼被指支持無政府主義推出歌曲，高呼「Fuck you I won’t do what you tell me」，卻意外地大受各樂迷歡迎，並奉為反建制符號。說明大部分人即使不認同動亂，仍承認美國種族歧視及警察濫權問題存在。Travis Barker 也在貼文內指出，1992年的歌曲，裡面的歌詞在28年後仍舊適用⋯話說 MGK 自從演完 Mötley Crüe的鼓手Tommy Lee之後，似乎搖滾魂大爆發，這首歌的出現，不出意外的話，會讓不少人願意重新認識一下MGK，就讓我們持續關注MGK會端出什麼好菜給我們吧。
